Below is the touring motorcycle fleet provided by Vietnam Motorcycle & Motorbike Tours, including road bikes, dirt bikes, and scooters. Our dirt bikes are mainly intended for intermediate and experienced riders, while scooters are available for novice riders and beginners who are not yet comfortable handling a manual-clutch motorcycle.

For most riders, we recommend choosing a manual-clutch motorbike. These motorcycles are generally larger, more powerful, and more capable of handling a wide variety of roads and terrain throughout Vietnam. They are especially suitable for longer Vietnam motorbike tours, mountain roads, rural backroads, and more challenging routes.

Scooters can be a good choice for beginners, particularly when riding as part of a private group with riders of similar experience and ability. However, they have more limited performance and are not always suitable for demanding mountain roads or long-distance motorcycle adventures.

Choosing the right motorcycle is important. With the appropriate bike for your riding experience and ability, you should be able to maintain the pace of the group comfortably without holding other riders back.

RELIABLE MOTORCYCLES FOR VIETNAM MOTORBIKE TOURS

There are many companies offering motorbike tours in Hanoi and Vietnam, but not all operators have a fleet of newer, well-maintained, and reliable motorcycles. Some tour operators do not actually own their motorcycles and simply rent bikes from other local shops when they have customers.

Another common option is the inexpensive Chinese-copy Honda Win 110cc-140cc, which can be found at many rental shops in Vietnam. While these bikes may look attractive because of their low rental price, they can be unreliable, particularly on longer trips and challenging mountain routes.
